SNARS Tech Committee Seminar

The SNARS Technical Committee, in conjunction with ARES, will be conducting a radio equipment diagnosis seminar on 04/01/06 beginning at 0900, at the residence of KØMC & K7ANI in Lemmon Valley. This will provide an opportunity to have your equipment analyzed and checked for proper operation by professional technicians using professional test equipment.

You may have wondered about how your radio or meter is performing. This will tell you. You'll have the opportunity to be instructed in the rudiments of radio checks, and it will be a lot of informative fun. We will "triage" your equipment, in other words, simply determine if there is a fault or defect. Repairs will be up to you via warranty or other arrangements. Coffee & snacks will be provided. No charge to SNARS or ARES members.

Participants are requested to bring the proper microphone, power cord, batteries, and manual. Preferred are the service manual, but instruction/operation manual will do if nothing else is available. Bring your power supply also, especially if your equipment uses something other than generic 12 VDC. We will be checking using 12 volt deep cycle batteries. Bring the proper battery pack for handheld radios. We cannot do high power amplifiers.
